LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police confirm to 10/11 NOW a woman is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car late Tuesday night.

LPD and Lincoln Fire & Rescue were called to the scene, just south of 48th and Holdrege, just before 10:30 p.m.

The woman was struck by a small car in the northbound lanes of 48th Street, just before Holdrege. Life-saving measures were performed on the woman before she was transported by LFR to a Lincoln hospital.

According to Lincoln Police, the victim had been crossing the street without a walk sign. According to LPD, there are no indications that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. There have been no arrests nor citations.
