Lincoln Police investigate Saturday assault

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police tell 10/11 NOW they’re investigating an assault from over the weekend.

LPD says they responded to a residence in the area of Portia and Knox in North Lincoln around 2:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Responding officers found a 34-year-old male victim who reported visiting a female acquaintance when a male kicked in the door and stabbed him in the face.

LPD said officers found evidence that the door had been kicked in at the woman’s apartment. According to officers, this was a targeted incident and investigators are working to identify the man responsible.

Officers said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

LPD hasn’t made any arrests at this time.
