LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Six players scored in double figures, and the Huskers displayed an unselfish brand of basketball in a 102-55 win over McNeese State in the season opener. Shamiel Stevenson, who’s among several newcomers, had 14 points and six rebounds for the Huskers. Delano Banton, Trey McGowens, and Teddy Allen also contributed 14 points.

Wednesday’s scoring output is Nebraska’s highest under Fred Hoiberg. The Huskers (0-1) next play on Thanksgiving against Nevada at 1:00 p.m.

The game was played in an empty Pinnacle Bank Arena with coaches and players wearing masks. While there wasn’t a crowd, an in-house DJ provided music throughout the game. Also, crowd noise was played during game action.
