Nebraska Department of Transportation announces reopening of I-80 after snowstorm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska woke up to a blanket of snow on Sunday.

According to the Nebraska Department of Transportation, I-80 is now open to travel. It and Highway 30 were closed earlier Sunday due to excessive snowfall. Parts of Highway 30 remain closed.

According to the Nebraska 511, areas around Waterloo remain covered in snow.

Several other roadways are snow-covered this morning. NDOT asks that travelers drive carefully.

Plows are currently out working to clear the ice from Saturday’s storm.
